Bond Helps Children's Charities

Northwest showbiz stars and Bond fans raised over £4,000 for charity by attending an exclusive gala screening of Quantum of Solace in Liverpool.

The event, which was organised by regional screen agency Northwest Vision and Media, together with Odeon Liverpool One, was attended by presenter Terri Dwyer, actors Andrew Lancel, Tina Malone and Suzanne Collins, Pete Price, Mike McCartney, and Everton players Victor Anichebe and Carlo Nash.

The money raised by ticket sales for the event has been shared between First Light Movies and Camkids, which are both supported by Northwest Vision and Media.

First Light Movies funds and inspires young people, throughout the UK, to make films reflecting the diversity of their lives. Established in 2001, they have enabled over 12,000 budding young filmmakers, aged between five to 19 years old, to write, act, shoot, light, direct and produce over 800 films.

CamKids, The Cambodian Children’s Charity, helps children in Cambodia who are either poor or whose parents are not there for them, aiming to reduce the incidence of child abandonment in one of the world’s poorest countries.
