Take The Northern Advantage

Northwest Vision and Media are thrilled to announce the imminent launch of The Northern Advantage, a unique business and personal development scheme for the Northwest’s brightest ‘professional’ freelance workforce in the media and digital industries.

The Northern Advantage is no ordinary training scheme but, underpinned with access to professional mentors, it will offer some of the best freelance media practitioners in the Northwest a collaborative and business enhanced approach to their personal development and working experience.

Phase One: Jan-April 2009
TAKE ADVANTAGE
A series of ‘free to attend’ information and networking sessions intended to enhance employment potential will be held across the region in the premises of independent media and digital companies.

Phase Two: Summer 2009
NORTHERN ADVANTAGE
Six high calibre business savvy workshops for up to 12 freelancers will be delivered over two intensive residential weekends. Areas covered will include; ‘Entrepreneurship Skills’ and ‘Selling Yourself Professionally’.

A key feature of the scheme will be the growth of entrepreneurial partnerships and participation will become an ‘elite advantage’ instrumental in the development of crucial business contacts and industry networks.
