As the broadcast environment continues to evolve, it is apparent that job security will depend on the ability to adapt. The convergence of TV, Internet and mobile phone technologies is merging many creative, artistic and technical roles and affecting everyone, from camera operators, researchers and journalists to editors, producers and directors.

SSR, an elite media training organisation based in Central Manchester, have developed an affordable training programme for TV freelancers which focuses on convergence and the content considerations for multi platform broadcast.
